An item referred to the magazine International Revue reporting that the Ecuadorian cabinet bought from France the aviso’s Papin and Inconstant stricken from the French Navy list. Both were wood-built in 1886 with a length of 61 metres, a draught of 4,2 metres and a s peed of 12 miles.
