Dutch ship Helena Anna transported troops to the Dutch East Indies according to the Dutch newspaper Java-bode dated 13 May 1857

An item dated Harderwijk, Netherlands 6 March reported the intended departure on the 16th of a detachment of 150 non-commissioned officers and soldiers towards Nieuwediep, Netherlands to depart on the 18th the Dutch ship Helena Anna bound for the Dutch East Indies. The detachment was commanded by retired captain G. Poolman accompanied by 2nd infantry lieutenants F.P.J. Rochell and J.T. Peuchem.
