American whaler Sacramento lying of the Galapagos Islands according to the Whalemen’s Shipping List dated Tuesday 17 December 1861

A letter written by captain Defriez of the American bark Sacramento of Westport, USA reported her on 26th September of the Galapagos Islands with 200 barrels sperm oil on board, apparently with a total catch of 500 barrels. Everything was on board. In November she would visit Tombez.
