American whaler Emerald sold according to the Whalemen’s Shipping List dated Tuesday 19 July 1859

An item reported that the whaler Emerald of Sag Harbor, USA was sold for 5.100 US dollars on an auction on the 12th to Mr. John Budd and others. She was built in 1835 and used as a Havre packet during around 15 years. In 1851 purchased at Sag Harbor.(1)
