Dutch East Indiaman Wapen van Zierikzee in 1683 in the Dutch East Indies

Needed to go to Onrust at the first opportunity for repairs. At her last voyage towards Coromandel she suffered a severe blow and was at the present time just qualified for service in calm waters like the Eastern provinces, Malacca, Siam, the west coast of Sumatra, Palembang en Jambij. Measurement 450 last. (1)

1. Of the E.I.C.-chamber Zealand, on stocks by Cornelis Speldernieuw sr. at E.I.C-yard at Middelburg, Netherlands in 1667, launched on 8 May 668 and as  dimensions 160’ x 38’ x 18‘. Dutch measurement cargo capacity 533/444 last, measurement at Batavia, Dutch East Indies cargo capacity 480 last.
