Norwegian bark Chala underway from Jamaica towards France abandoned by her crew according to the Dutch newspaper Rotterdamsch nieuwsblad dated 3 February 1914

An item dated Le Havre, France 28^th January reported that the Norwegian bark Chala captain Aanonsen which left Falmouth, Jamaica on 23 December 1913 loaded with Campeche timber towards Le Havre was abandoned on 15^th January while she lost her masts. Her crew came on land at St. Michaels.
