German submarine U 8 guarded by Dutch navy at Terschelling, Netherlands according to the Dutch newspaper Nieuwsblad ban Friesland dated 5 November 1915

An item reported that the German submarine U 8 was thrown over the banks near Terschelling, Netherlands north of the Brandaris and damaged. She signalled for support which was given by the Dutch motor rescue boat of Terschelling which towed her to a safe anchorage. Until further orders were the submarine and her crew guarded. The Rotterdamsch nieuwsblad of the same dated confirmed this item adding that she was guarded by tow torpedo boats.
