Turkish admiral preferred Schwartzkopff fish torpedoes according to the Dutch magazine Marineblad dated 1886-1887 no. 4

An item reported that admiral Hobart Pasha (1) who was present at the trials executed by a Turkish battleship and 3 gunboats, preferred Schwartzkopff fish torpedoes above Whitehead torpedoes despite that handling the first type required much care. Further more supplied the Bullivant nets as used by the British and Russian navies the best protection against fish torpedoes.
