The strength of the Austria-Hungarian navy according to the Dutch newspaper Bataviaasch nieuwsblad dated 15 June 1911

An item reported that the Austria-Hungarian navy decided to the mobilised stage the active squadron consisted of 3 battleships, 1 armoured cruiser and 4 torpedo boats. The reserve consisted of 3 battleships, 1 small cruiser and 1 torpedo boat. The reserve squadron served in the summer and had in the winter just a core crew. In reserve without service were 4 small battleships, 2 small armoured cruisers, 2 small cruisers and some torpedo boats. In East Asia were 2 cruisers serving.
