British steamship Alesia sunk according to the Dutch newspaper Rotterdamsch nieuwsblad dated 8 October 1917

An item dated London, England 26th September reported that the in 1896 built steamship Alesia of 5.144 gross and 3.228 net tonnage was sunk. She belonged to the Hamburg-Amerika Line of Hamburg, Germany but was required by the British Admiralty serving for the British government while operated by Graham&Co., London,  England.
