Polish navy possessed 12 fast motor boats according to a CIA report dated 8 October 1951

An item reported that the Polish navy possessed 3 divisions each of 4 four fast motor boats with a pennant starting with met a ‘S’ in contrary to ‘ST’ of the motor torpedo boats. The motor torpedo boat ST-81 which was the former Blyskawiczny was lying at Swinemünde and the ST-82 at Gdynia. Depending for which purpose the boats were used differs their armament. For torpedo boats consisted the armament of 4 twin 2cm guns, 2 twin Soviet heavy machineguns, 2-60cm torpedoes and 4 depth charges against the 2-45cm guns, 2 Colt machine guns and 10 depth charges of the fast motor boats.
