Polish navy possessed 2 landing ships according to a CIA report dated 8 October 1951

An item reported that the Polish navy possessed the two landing ships called BD-1 and BD-2 of which one was stationed at Gdynia and the second one at the Hel Peninsula. Comparable  ships of this kind now used for other tasks were to be handed over the navy after being repaired and modernized.
