Gowind-class corvette especially designed to execute maritime protection missions, preceded by the P 400-class. Laid down by DCNS, Lorient, France in May 2010, launched on 17 June 2011 and commissioned on 19 March 2012. Displacement 1.450 (full load) tons and as dimensions 87 x 11 x 3,3 metres or 285 x 36 x 11 feet. Machinery consisted of 2 Anglo-Belgian Corporation V12 diesels supplying 5,6MW allowing a speed of 21 knots and with a speed of 12 knots a range of 8.000 nautical miles. Endurance 30 days. Fitted out with 2 9metres/30 feet RHIBs. Armament consists of 1cm canon, 2-12,7mm/0.50” machineguns and 1 5 tons or 10 tons helicopters for which she has a helicopter pad (for the 10 tons) and hangar (for the 5 tons).
