Soviet paddle motor tug Ismail active on the Danube according to a CIA report dated 31 July 1952

An item dealing with the merchant shipping traffic on the Danube between 25 February and 28 March 1952 between Vienna, Austria and Reni, Ukraine [45˚26’North and 28˚18’East] mentioned the Soviet paddle motor tug Ismail towing 6 cargo barges. Built in Czechoslovakia in 1948 with as dimensions 34 of 84 x 16 x 1,30 meters and fitted out with 1-1.400hp engine.
