An item reported that on the 10th at the navy shipyard at Genoa, Italy a screw steamship of 400 hp and pierced for 22 guns was launched. She was laid down in March 1863. At the same yard were another two armoured ships being built just like a iron made yacht and further more was the building of an armoured battery prepared.
