Portugal opening registration of tenders for building submarines according to the magazine Mitteilungen aus dem Gebiete des Seewesens dated 1913 No. 3

An item reported that the Portuguese navy department opened on 15 January the registration for tenders for the building of 3submarines with a displacement of around 300 tons, a maximum surfaced speed of 14 knots, two screws and an armament of 3-45cm/17.7” torpedo tubes. On 15 January was the registration for tenders opened and it were British and American companies who were interested.
