The Otraco tugs in Belgian Congo according to a CIA report dated 30 April 1953

An item reported that the organisation Otraco (Office d’Expliation des Transports Coloniaux) recently purchased the new tug Kiri with a horsepower of 1.000hp and which in the meantime with success executed her trials and was to start within a week with her service on the Kongo River. Otraco already possessed the 1.000hp tugs Kisangani, Kwamougt and Kuzulu and the two tugs Kimpoko and Kikwit which now being fitted out and to enter on short notice the service. In the future were the tugs Kisantu and Katu to be added. Planned were another five K-type tugs. Characteristics of the K-class tugs were 65 x 10,5 x 1,20 metres. Their machinery consisted of 3x345hp at 350rpm Carels engines.
