Japanese aviation gasoline tanker Sunosaki 1942-1944

Part of Sunosaki-class. Laid down by Mitsubishi Heavy Industries shipyard with hull number 103 on 25 March 1942, launched on 28 December 1942, completed om 15 May 1942, heavily damaged in an Allied air attack while docked at Cavite, Philippines on 21 September 1944, undocked , towed to sea and abandoned in the Manila Bay on 4 October 1944 and stricken from the Navy List on 10 December 1944. Displacement of 4,465 tons and as dimensions 334.6 x 49.2 x 16.4 feet.The 2 MAN diesel engines supplied via 2 shafts totally 4,500 ship allowing a speed of 16 knots. Cargo capacity 4,000 tons gasoline, 1,080 tons light or or water, 440 tons ammunition. The armament consisted of 2-12cm/4.7” cal 45 type to guns and 2-2.5cm type 96 anti aircraft guns.
