Canada increasing fleet and military personnel and protection of harbours according to the Dutch magazine Marineblad dated 1937 no. 4

An item referred to the Proceedings reporting that the Canadian navy was to be strengthened with 4 four modern minesweepers now being built. The personnel strength was with 373 men increased to a number of 1.339 men. The defence of the harbours of Halifax and Esquinault was improved with anti submarine warfare measures. The personnel strength of the army and air force was also increased.
