Former German battleship Baden sunk while used as target by British according to the Dutch newspaper De Telegraaf dated 9 February 1921

An item dated London, England 8th reported that the former German warship Baden (1) sunk between the mainland and the island of Wight during experiments with air torpedoes and gunfire from short distance. The experiments were executed to examine the construction of German warships and the value of battleships regarded the several discussions going on. It was the intention to salvage the Baden and use her for more tests.
