British destroyer HMS Larne launched according to the magazine Mitteilungen aus dem Gebiete des Seewesens dated 1911 No. 11

An item reported that on 23 August 1911 at Messrs. Thornycroft and Co., Woolston/Southampton, England the British destroyer HMS Larne sister ship of the HMS Hope was launched. She was launched almost complete fitted out with turbines, boilers, masts, funnels, boats and armament. Displacement 780 tons and a contracted speed of 27 knots.(1)

1. Of the Acorn-class (since 1913 called H-class) built under the 1909-1910 Programme preceded by Beagle-class and succeeded by Acheron-class. Laid down on 8 December 1909, launched on 23 August 1910, completed in February 1911 and sold to be broken up on 9 May 1921.
