Catch results of British Davis Strait and Greenland whalers dramatic worse according to the Dutch newspaper Algemeen Handelsblad dated 25 October 1850

An item dated London, England Tuesday 22^nd reported that that the whale hunting off Greenland and in Davis Strait had been very worse with results decimated compared with a year earlier. Last year were 40 whalers fitted out resulting in 218 whales and 1.761 ton oil. The 23 whalers of this year had as total results 88 whales and 650 ton oil.
