French whale ship Faune visited Lahaina, Hawaii according to the newspaper The Polynesian dated 19 October 1844

An item reported the arrival at Lahaina, Hawaii on 15 September of the French whale ship Faune captain Defour of Le Havre, France 700 barrels whale oil
