Dutch machine and boiler factory of the Kon. Mij. De Schelde at Flushing, Netherlands 1876-
In 1875 was the shipyard Kon. Mij. De Schelde founded at Flushing with as purpose building and repairing ships and manufacturing engines and boilers for the ships she herself built or for other shipyards or plants. In 1876 were the needed buildings and storehouses built. In 1881 was the building in which the engine factorywas housed destroyed. The same year was started with new building completed in 1882. In 1911 was decided to built a building especially for the engine plant. Built in 1912 were however extensions needed in 1913, 1916 and 1919. The original building of 1881 was broken up in 1987. The buildings of 1912 and later still exist today however not longer used by the shipyard.
