December. At Marseille were the shipyards which were building warships for the
Pasha of Egypt apparently ordered by the government to stop all activities
while only 2-60 gun frigates and 1-24 gun corvette were allowed and not a
complete squadron. Since then it’s be believed that the
builders would be allowed to complete the warships destined to be sold abroad
and send towards Alexandria.
