British gaff-rigged pilot cutter (ex-Pleasant Breeze 1945) Jolie Brise 1913-

Built at Albert Paumelle Yard, Le Havre, France in 1913 using a design of Alexandre Paris. Used shortly as a pilot vessel and then as fishing vessel until 1927 when she was used as pleasure craft. Modified at Palma, Majorca in 1934. Renamed Pleasant Breeze in 1945 but later again Jolie Brise. During the Second World War part of the Royal British Navy. Between 1945-1935 homeport Lisbon, Portugal and since then again British. Run aground in the channel approach to the Hamble River, Hampshire, England on 24 September 2016. Dimensions 48’ (waterline)-56’ (over all) x 15’9” x 10’2”.
