Results of full speed test of the American battleship USS Wisconsin according to the Dutch magazine Marineblad dated 1910-1911 no. 5

Illinois-class

An item referred to the Army and Navy Journal reporting that the Wisconsin (1) part of the American Atlantic Fleet executed full speed tests of with the following results: speed 16 (design)-17,17 (when handed over)-16,81 (in service) miles and with a displacement of 11.565 (when handed over)-12.142 (in service) tons. Her service speed was influenced by the fact that the safety valves opened at 27,5 pound below the red line.

1. Of the Illinois-class, laid down by Union Iron Works on 9 February 1897, launched on 26 November 1898, commissioned on 4 February 1901 and sold to be broken up on 26 January 1922.
