An item reported that the Austrian cruiser Kaiserin Elisabeth visited Tandjong Priok 19 January-8 February, Surabaya between 10-18 February and Makasser, Dutch East Indies between 20-22 February 1910.

1. Of the Kaiser Franz Joseph I-class protected cruisers, succeeded by the Zenta-class. Laid down at the Pola Navy Yard, Pola [nowadays Pula, Croatia] in July 1888, launched on 25 September 1890, commissioned on 24 November 1892 and scuttled at Tsingtao, China on 2 November 1914.
2. The Dutch newspaper Het nieuws van den dag voor Nederlandsch-Indiƫ dated 19 January 1910 reported her arrival coming from Hong Kong and destined towards Surabaya, Dutch East Indies. Crew numbered 443 men, armed with 8 guns and commanded by Hansa. The newspaper De Sumatra Post dated 21st confirmed her arrival at Tandjong-Priok where she was stay for 3 weeks and then towards Surabaya. Her visit to Java had as purporse the improve the trade between Austria and the Dutch East Indies. The Het nieuws van den dag voor Nederlandsch-Indiƫ dated 9 February reported her departure towards Surabaya. Commanding officer was Oskar Hansa.
