Shipbuilding activities at Budapest, Hungary according to a CIA report dated 20 August 1947

An item reported that the construction at Budapest, Hungary of the 1.200 tons Danube river ships Komárom and Kolzsvár continued. Presumably both ships were to be taken by Russia.

An item reported that the circa 500 tons measuring ship Budapest still was lying at Linz or Passau and still not arrived at Budapest, Hungary.

An item reported that a third ship in the 1.200 tons series Simeis and Korkis built at Budapest, Hungary was completed and delivered to the Russia.

An item reported that a 2.300 tons ships of which the construction at Budapest, Hungary started in 1940 and which was stopped during the war was now to be completed as war reparations for the Soviet Union. She was especially designed for transporting locomotives and railroad rolling material from Hungary principally with as destination South America.

An item reported that the building of a 150 tons floating crane destined for Odessa [Ukraine] at Budapest, Hungary was nearly completed/ A 100 tons floating crane was under construction for Yugoslavian account and another two for the Hungarian State Line or perhaps for the municipality of Budapest.
