Statue of St. Nicholas or Noah. Located on the south side of the isthmus and made by sculptor annex painter Stavri Kalinov (15 November 1944 Vidin, Bulgaria) in 2006. He calls it “the new Noah in search of the Promised Land, and perhaps the dove has found salvation in this blessed Nessebar coast.” It holds a cross and a dove and with a height of 10 metres. Frequently people identify the statue however as St. Nicolas the patron saint of sailors.
