Naval short take-off and vertical landing/vertical take-off and landing jet fighter, reconnaissance and attack aircraft. Development of the Hawker Siddeley Harrier. Totall9 98 built, introduced on 20 August 1978 serving in the British Royal Navy (until March 2006) and in the Indian Navy (until 6 March 2016). Sea Harriers were active in the Falklands War based on the HMS Invincible and Hermes.
