An item dated Philadelphia, USA 16th reported the departure of the American battleship Michigan (1) towards Mexico.(2)

1. BB-27. Part of South Carolina-class, laid down by New York Shipbuilding Corporation on 17 December 1906, launched on 26 May 1908, commissioned on 4 January 1910, decommissioned on 11 February 1922, stricken on 10 November 1923 and broken up in 1924.

2. Probably dealing with the gun salute crisis. Mexico would salute the US flag and American ships would respond with contra salutes.
