An item dated Washington, USA 7th reported that at Haiti again riots broke out and the American battleship South Carolina was again sent to Port-au-Prince for protection of the foreigners there.(1)

Part of South Carolina-class battleships, preceded by Missisippi-class, succeeded by Delaware-class, laid down by William Cramp&Sons, Philadelphia, USA on 18 December 1906, launched on 11 July 1908, commissioned on 1 March 1910, decommissioned on 15 December 1921, stricken on 10 Novmber 1921 and sold to be broken up on 24 April 1924.
