Japanese aircraft attacked Belawan, Dutch East Indies according to the U.S. Joint Intelligence Committee. Daily summary dated 24 January 1942

An item reported that Japanese aircraft attacked Belawan, harbour of Medan, Dutch East Indies damaging the docks. The J.I.C. commented that there were and more Japanese air attacks also becoming more intensive on the northern coast of Sumatra predicting probably a Japanese invasion.
