British trawlers probably destroyed an enemy submarine in June 1917

In the meeting of the British War Cabinet on Tuesday 26 June 1917 reported the First Sea Lord that on 19 June two trawlers sighted a moving object 19 miles east of the Fair Island and after dropping a depth charge came oil to the surface. On 23 June found sweepers an obstruction at the spot and after a depth charge came again oil to the surface.(1)
