Launched by Russell&Co., Kingston Yard, Port Glasgow, Scotland with yard number 587 on 27 July 1908, completed in September 1908 and torpedoed and sunk by the American submarine USS Gat about 200 miles north of Kaap d’Urville, Dutch New Guinea on 26 February 1944.
