Fitted with three screws, on which is an armoured citadel with four heavy guns operating inside. It was designed by Captain E. Wilson, Royal Navy.(1) Dimensions 190 x 55 feet. Main deck provided a free arc of fire due to lacking any obstructions such as mounting the deck and lifeboats on raised pillars and davits.
