In his letter No. 1588 dated Lisbon 11 November 1941 reported the German naval attaché in Portugal to the Oberkommando der Kriegsmarine at Berlin according to an Italian source the arrival of the British guard vessel HMS Verbena at Ponte Delgada, São Miguel, Azores the evening of 7 November and leaving the same night.
