Japanese air attack on Port Darwin, Australia according to the U.S. Joint Intelligence Committee. Daily summary dated 3 January 1942

An item reported that according to the Japanese radio broadcasts Port Darwin, Australia was attacked by aircraft during two hours on 3 January damaging the harbour facilities badly. The J.I.C. commented that the attack could not be confirmed.
