Design for an American scout cruiser dated 15 October 1919

Part of the designing process of the Pensacola-class but never realized. Could be possible built under the Fiscal Year 1920 program. Design made by F.M. Hiatt civilian engineer at the Preliminary Design Office. Displacement 10,000 tons. Dimensions 620 (waterline) x 57 (beam) x 18.4 (normal draught) x 39.6 (depth amidships). Freeboard stem 31.1, amidships 19.1 and stern 17.1’.Speed 36 knots. Armament of 8-8” 50 cal guns (2x3 fore and aft, 1x2 middle), no secondary battery, 4-3” anti aircraft guns and 2x3-21” torpedo tubes.
