Owner in 1939 Madrigal&Co, Amanpala. Launched by Sunderland Shipbuilding Co. Ld., Sunderland on 12 November 1913, completed in February 1914, requisitioned by the Australian Navy on 6 August 1914, used as collier and supply ship, returned to owners in 1915, bought by Madrigal&Co., Philippines in 1937, sunk by Japanese aircraft in Manila Bay on 26 December 1941, salvaged by Japanese, became an army transport and sunk by aircraft from US aircraft carriers in the Manila Bay on 13 November 1944. Gross tonnage 4,260 tons, under deck 3,926 tons, net tonnage 2,632 tons, deadweight tons 7,260 6onsand as dimensions 364 (waterline)-375.2 (overall) x 50.71 x 26.1 x 23.6 (loaded) feet. Reciprocating propulsion, 1 screw, horsepower344 nhp, coal fuelled and speed 9 (normal cruising)-10 (maximum) knots.
