British frigate Roebuck attacked Philadephia, USA according to the Dutch newspaper Middelburgsche Courant dated 10 September 1776

Cadiz, 4 August. On 9 July arrived at Cadiz two American ships of Philadelphia loaded with corn for Cadiz. Their masters reported that the British 44-gun frigate Rocbuck (1) joined by two war barges entered the river to attack the city Philadelphia but were forced to retreat by a large number of provincial vessels while the frigate was grounded but the next night was refloated.
