British river gunboats presented to China according to the Dutch newspaper Het Vaderland: staat- en letterkundig nieuwsblad daily edition dated 9 February 1942

According to tidings from London gave the British admiralty Tsjoenking the three river gunboats as a gift which were left behind when the war broke out between Japan and China. It were the Falcon (1), Gannett (2) and Sandpiper.(3)

Notes
1. Launched at Yarrow on 18 May 1931 and handed over to the Chinese government in February 1942 where she was taken into service as the Lung Huan, since 1948 called Ying The and since 1950 Nan Chiang and still in service until 1974. With a displacement of 372 tons and dimensions 150 x 29’ was she armed with 1-3.7” howitzer and 2-6pdrs.
2. Launched at Yarrow on 11 October 1927 and handed over to the Chinese government in February 1942 where she was taken into service as the Ying Shan and still in service until 1975. With a displacement of 310 tons and dimensions 177 x 29 was she armed with 2-3’ guns.
3. Launched at Thornycroft on 6 June 1933 and handed over to the Chinese government in February 1942 where she was taken into service as the Ying Hao Chiang and still in service until 1974. With a displacement of 185 tons and dimensions 160 x 30’5’ was she armed with 1-3.7” howitzer and 1-6pdr.
