On stocks by P. Schuit jr at navy yard at Amsterdam, Netherlands in 1827, renamed Van Speijk by royal decision no. 63 dated 11 February 1831, launched on 16 April 1832, commissioned on 1 September 1834, condemned and transferred to the Colonial Navy in the Dutch East Indies on 1 August 1837, renamed as Medusa guard ship at Surabaya, Dutch East Indies on 1 January 1842, stricken in 1842, intended public auction on 16 July 1842 lying in the roads of Surabaya to be broken up, 2-decks, dimensions 36,5 (between perpendiculars) x 10,0 (inner hull) x 4,25 9fore)-4,82 (aft) x 5,39 (hold below upper deck) metres, a 775 tons displacement, an armament of 28 guns (20-12 pd or 20-20pd carronades, 8-12pd carronades, 2-6pd) and a crew numbering 150 men.
