Swedish warships Fylgia, Stockholm and Norköping visiting Amsterdam, Netherlands according to the Dutch newspaper Het Parool dated 24 April 1948

An item reported the expected visit of a Swedish flotilla between 28 May-2 June in the harbour of Amsterdam, Netherlands. It consisted of the around 40 years old 4.125 ton measuring cruiser Fylgia (1) and the modern destroyers Stockholm and Norköping.

Notes

1. Armoured cruiser, laid down by Finnboda, Stockholm Bergsund, Sweden in October 1903, launched on 21 December 1905, completed on 21 June 1907, rebuilt by Oscarshamn shipyard between 1939-1941, stricken on January 1953 still serving as a target until 1957 when she was sold to be broken up.

2. Of the Göteborg-class. Launched at Karlskrona, Sweden on 24 March 1936, completed in 1937 and decommissioned in 1964.

3. Of the Göteborg-class. Launched at Eriksberg, Sweden on 5 September 1940, completed in 1941, decommissioned in 1965 and afterwards expended as target.
