Merchant ships attacked by enemy submarines on the Atlantic Ocean according to the U.S. Joint Intelligence Committee. Daily summary dated 19 August 1942

An item reported that one ship was torpedoed on 14 August which was part of a convoy around 500 miles west of Northern Island and a second one on 17 August when being around 150 miles north east of San Miguel, Azores.
