Built by Laing James&Sons Ltd., Sunderland, England in 1919, laid up at Yokohama as Norwegian Nordhav in 1938, seized or sold in 1940-1941 and torpedoed and sunk by the American submarine USS Harder SS 257 south of Honshu, Japan on 23 September 1943. Gross tonnage 5,374 tons, under deck 4,703 tons, netto tonnage 3,478 tons and as dimensions 400.00 x 52.4 x 28.5 x 8 (light)-25’6” (loaded) feet. Reciprocating propulsion, single screw, horsepower 517 nhp, oil bunker capacity 820 tons, range 8,600 nautical miles/10 knots and speed 10 (normal cruising)-12 (maximum) knots. Carried petrol in bulk 60,000 barrels.
