American sailing sealing ship General Putnam between 1828-1930

Antarctic sealing ground African coast. Of Newburyport, Massachusetts, USA. Rigging schooner. Caught in 1828 or 1829 1,500 seal-skins. Condemned at Rio Janeiro, Brazil on 31 March 1829 or 1830.
