British ship of the line HMS Implacable 1805-1949


This was a former 74 gun ship of the line captured as the French Duguay Trouin 3 November 1805 with as displacement 1.882 tons builders (British builders measurement) or 3.223 tons and as dimensions 181 x 49'5". Since July 1855 serving as a training ship, lent to mr. Wheatly Cobb for preservation in January 1912 and finally scuttled 2 December 1949 off the Owers.
