Frankfurt, 14 February. At Triest arrived 3 February tidings from Alexandria via a ship which sailed during 28x24 hours. The Egyptian fleet including transports was expected back and which was now destined to transport new troops towards Navarino. In Alexandria men feared that the fleet which was to sail via Suda and Candia would attract the attention of Lord Cochrane.
